Keeping active is just one of the benefits of kids and teens playing sport; there’s also the development of leadership skills and self-esteem, and learning to be a good communicator in a team environment.
While some programs and sign-ons wrapped up over the Christmas break or early in the New Year, many clubs are still accepting registrations throughout 2019.
The Lakes Cricket Club
The Lakes Cricket Club has a Junior Blaster (approx. 5 to 7 years, skill building) and Master Blaster (mostly 7 to 8-year-olds) Program runs on a Friday night at Woodside Community Centre. The U10-U15 competitions run on a Saturday morning.
North Lakes Eels AFL Football Club
Sign-on day is Saturday, 2 February 2019 – 9.00am to 12.00pm at St. Benedicts College Oval, at Mango Hill.

Lakers Softball Club
Summer season sign-on is held later in the year (August), however, those interested in playing or getting involved with Lakers Softball Club are invited to get in touch. Training is every Tuesday evening at Aurora Boulevard Park in North Lakes.
