North Lakes Locals Scooping Up Inner Urban Sola Homes

North Lakes residents keen to live in the heart of Stockland’s thriving master planned community are amongst the eager buyers scooping up homes in an inner urban townhome project. ​

Other buyers snapping up the contemporary SoLa town homes being built adjacent to Lake Eden and Westfield North Lakes, include upgraders and downsizes from surrounding areas and also first home buyers.​

The strong interest in the project has resulted in the first release of the project selling out just weeks after being launched. SoLa comprises a mix of luxury two and three-bedroom town homes priced from $379,000 to $499,000. ​

Moreton Bay Rail Project Update

Christmas shutdown

The project site will shutdown for the Christmas period on Friday 18 December with the team back on site Monday 4 January 2016. During this period, rail works will be undertaken on the Lawnton to Petrie line to enable the connection into the upgraded line over the North Pine River (details below). The project team will be available 24 hours on 1800 096 821 during the Christmas shutdown.

Road Safety Lesson at The Lakes College

Chris Whiting MP, Member for Murrumba says that The Lakes College in North Lakes is a worthy recipient of a $1,950 grant from the Community Road Safety Grants program.

“The Lakes College will use the grant to provide its upper primary students with a bike education and road safety course,” Mr Whiting said.

“These community projects are developed by local groups who know what is needed in their area to keep road users and pedestrians safe.” 

More than $1 million will be shared across Queensland schools, community groups and councils to improve road safety in their local area.

North Lakes Celebrates Opening Of Fresh Food Marketplace & Laneway

The brand new Fresh Food Marketplace and Laneway Restaurant precinct in Westfield North Lakes was buzzing with excitement and entertainment over the Grand Opening Weekend 26-29 November.

For those of you who couldn't make it down to have a look, this is what is awaiting your exploration. 

The Fresh Food Marketplace is situated at the Coles end of Westfield North Lakes, with the main entrance at the Bruce Motorway facing side of the shopping centre. The Post Office has also been moved up to this top entrance.

Early Work Begins On Boundary Rd Interchange Upgrade

Chris Whiting MP has announced that early works on the Boundary Rd Interchange with the Bruce Highway have started as of Monday 30th November.

“The Boundary Rd upgrade is a vitally important infrastructure upgrade for this region” Mr Whiting said.

“We’ve been waiting on the Boundary Rd upgrade for a while and it is just around the 
corner”

“These initial works will involve the clearing of vegetation from the area north of the existing overpass, where the new overpass will be constructed”

A school was broken into overnight on 26 November in Sparkes Road by reaching through an open window to unlock door. A quantity of Ipad computers stolen.

A home was attempted to be broken into between  November 21 and 27 in Wright Court by forcing hole in flyscreen. No entry gained.
