Hello all! Anyone up for meeting up sometime next week? I now have Billy to bring along- he is 4 weeks old and doing well!
ReneeV- are there any days you can make it to North Lakes? I go to a play group at Kallangur at the church on a Friday- have oyu ever been to that one? I am from the UK and been living in North Lakes for 4 months- I have a 4 week old and a three year old, both boys. Where in the UK did you live?

Let me know who is about next week and we can meet somewhere for a catch up

Hi all,
I have just moved to North Lakes from Darwin, N.T and would love to meet some mum's with little one's. I would be happy to meet for coffee or get physical and go for a walk, I generally get out every morning and go for a walk. I have a 2 year old boy and a four month old girl.
Look forward to hearing from you.

Hello Cindy, glad the move went okay for you. Im up for a meet next week, can do most days, Tues and Wed are good for me as I have both children, Mond and Thurs Jake is at Kindy so only have the baby. Can even meet at mine if you like..........ReneeV have you got any way of getting to North Lakes- do any buses run this way? I didnt make the playgroup on Friday but will prob be going this week if you were to pop by. I may join you one Tues at the playgroup in Kallangur as I am finding being out of the house is easier with the two of them now.

Hi everyone, thanks for the replies. Anyone free this Friday? I have the car that day and was thinking of coming over to North Lakes around 9ish - maybe meeting at the North Lakes library or the Westfield indoor playground inside there or any other suggestions? If it's a nice day, maybe that playground next to the North Lakes sales centre? I also am keen to check out the Kallangur Library Rhyme Time from 11-11.30. Both my girls will be with me on Friday, 2 years old and almost 2 months old.

Grrr, right after I posted that my husband has said he does need the car on Friday. Planning on buying another car soon though...if anyone knows of a cheap reliable little run around let me know.

I could get the bus but bit tough with 2 kids but I think that Friday playgroup is actually within walking distance for me if you are going Sophie...is that the one in the Uniting Church in Narrangba Road? So perhaps that is a good place to meet up, do you need to phone ahead or something for that? I've just googled it but not having much luck. What time does it start?

Yeah thats the one, its called 'playaway' I think. Anyway its $4 per family, it starts at 10 am till 12, you just turn up don't need to book. Bring something for morning tea for your little one. You will see lots of cars parked on the grass, and you just walk through the gate where the little playground is. Its pretty relaxed, loads of toys, craft tables and then they normally do some songs and dancing too.

Hi ReneeV- hope you didn't go to playgroup today as I got there and they had the playgroup at the park which was not walking distance away. Hope you didn't have a wasted journey (I didn't see the sign and so just thought it wasn't on and drove home!).

Hi Sophie...I did turn up! I walked about 20 minutes there with my 2 little ones in a wonky 2nd hand double pram I bought recently for $20! I was wondering where everyone was, then saw the sign about the picnic. I was about to head home and then made the brave (or silly!) decision to walk another 40 minutes and just made the rhyme time at Kallangur Library at 11am. Thankfully you told me to bring morning tea for playaway...that kept my 2yo busy on the walk in, I was handing her pikelets and strawberries along the way. My 7 week old slept the whole time. Rhyme time was fun and lots of mums there, but I was exhausted when I got home. I'm glad the pram managed the trip. Oh well, thats the beginning of my post-natal exercise programme I guess!

Both my little ones have a nasty cold so I don't think we will be doing much this week. Next week going to try and make the Teddy Bears Picnic organised by the council on Wednesday and either rhyme time again on the Friday or playaway.

Sorry havent been on here a while! ReneeV so sorry u had to walk all that way! I will be going on Frid and it def is on this week! I would offer u a lift but i wouldn't fit both ure bubs in! Perhaps i could just come and meet u at the playground or something if your not up to the hike again! I know how u feel, after we moved over it took us a while to get a second car and it was a nightmare.
Sorry i didn't meet up Cindy- I have only just seen the posts, next week any good for anyone? I can do a Thurs

Hi again, I rang today to check it was there tomorrow

It's not that far to walk, as long as I just walk there and not to the library afterwards! My neighbour and her daughter will probably come with me.

Hope to meet you then!
