I was just wondering if anyone can tell if you able to ride from NL to Petrie and how far/long it will take?

It takes about 15 minutes by car to drive from North Lakes to Petrie station. If you arrive after 7.30am at Petrie, however, there is no more parking. There is a bus 682 from North Lakes to Petrie station every 30 minutes but this takes a bit longer. I leave North Lakes at 6.40am by car and arrives in the city by train at 7.40am - one hour door to door. If you take the bus it would probably take you 90 minutes . Good luck with your move!

Thanks for the info, are you aware of any NL residents that do a car pool to Petrie?
I will be working in the CBD and aim to get to Central a litttle before 8am.
Any chance the bus service might get better?  If I was to use pedal power to get to Petrie, is it safe to leave my bike locked up at the station?

There are some people car pooling from North Lakes- I saw it somewhere else on the website but can't remember under which section. There are bike lockers on the station as well but I think you will go on a waiting list for them. Some people lock their bikes to the fence at Petrie and it seems safe enough. Maybe somebody with a bike could help you more.....? Since I have 2 kids to get ready in the morning I can't car pool since there are often unexpected situations that makes me late.

The buss is pretty straight forward, leaves Top Discovery drive at 620am and meets the 649am train at Petrie which arrives at central at 7:28am.

The bus after this is the 640am that meets the 722 train and arrives at central at 756am.

There are many of us using this every day to go to work in the CBD.
