I was actually meaning the bypass that is running through there also, I am wondering what they will do at Endeavour blvd, whether they are putting in a fly-over, over the top of Endeavour Blvd, or yet another roundabout.

No plans for a fly-over, it will be an intersection with lights.

Stocklands are also looking at increasing the land size in one of the new developments, which I think they said would be called 'Edens Landing'. The building companies have told them that there are those who built in the early stages and what to build again on NL but want larger land size.

The new display village is behind the current carpark in Hilltop Green. Plantation Homes will be the biggest builder with either 6 or 8 houses (these back onto Bounty Blvd, opposite where their homes are at the moment)

The by-pass meeting Endeavour Blvd won't be built for years, meaning one of the last things Stockland will do in North Lakes before they leave as it is a road that will travel through Narangba, North Lakes, Mango Hill & Griffin before meeting onto the Bruce Highway near Dohles Rocks Road/Pine Rivers bridge.

Ikea will be from the new traffic lights (old Kerr Road, at the new retirement village entrance) to the new dead end road just built but like the Ikea store at Logan it would probably contain other retail businesses that require larger premises.

Re read my post, I already said the new display village is in Hilltop and due to open late June. Plantation will open in August when they complete all 8 homes (5 just about finished now).

However as I said the area to the east Endeavour blvd (where they have just started work) will contain the next display village (and final one for NL) once they are finished with the one in Hilltop (about 18 months to 2 years time).

Update re North South Road

The Northern section down to Bounty BLVD, where the shops are being built in Outlook should be ready by late September early October. The middle section is not due for completion until 2014 (when Stockland plan to cut and run)however it could be completed sooner should Stockland keep selling land at the current rate ie in 2012.

What about the empty golf course frontage land behind those big fences on Copeland Drive?

We're looking to buy in Nth Lakes (currently renting here)and the mystery behind those fences is certainly putting us off purchasing nearby.

Does anyone know what the plans are for that large block of empty Copeland Drive land?

When the golf course was built (Lend Lease/Lensworth development stage) it was maked as being town houses/apartments but I think the fence is there to stop people parking their boats & trailers there, like Stockland has done near Westfield/Community Centre to stop tradies parking their vehicles there while they are at the pub!

Great news.

$3.7 million for a bus station at North Lakes, wonder the scale of it? Translink better upgrade the routes around North Lakes area, otherwise what's the point of having this bus station?

Any news on the new route that services other side of North Lakes? Any one?

The bus station plans have been on the drawing board since Westfield was built and it would probably be built in about 50 years!

It will be similar to Westfield Chermside and Strathpine etc

The ambulance station has been on the drawing board for a few years too as well as a fire station but that has not be mentioned again taking another 50 years to build.

Stockland would not smell the stench, they only smell $ signs and money! They can come and stay a week in Bridgehaven and see how their eyes will water of the smell.
