Any word on when Bounty is going to be finished?

I am getting very tired of driving in the wrong direction.

I understand it will be finished in July. I am moving to Bridgehaven in a couple of weeks (yippee!!) as my house is "practically complete" so will too like being able to get to Westfield, etc. without circumnavigating North Lakes.
I also read something about an "Outlook Convenience Centre". Something akin to the Nightowl Centre, I presume. Hopefully better, though. Wouldn't be hard, really.

I had heard July as well from someone at Stockland. It will certainly make a difference getting around that end of the estate.

Yes, I'm sure it will be a great relief to everyone!Discovery Drive is as overworked as a nurse in a public hospital! How long do you think it will be before Boundary opens?

Do you mean the link from Boundary Road to North Lakes? Good question. A long time. 4 years would be my guess. 2012. By that time the northern most reaches of North Lakes will be developed. I certainly hope it's sooner though.

I think they are planing for the road to Boundary Road now. Maybe eveyone should ask Stockland this weekend at the display village opening because all the big bosses should be there!

Yes, unfortunately I can't make this weekend.Perhaps if anyone finds out any info re Boundary they could post it here.As we all know Discovery Drive is woefully inadequate for the volume of traffic and if you happen to back on to it you will be very keen to see any new infrastructure open!I now realise why 11am was so suitable to our vendors as a good viewing time-and 9am and 5pm were so inconvenient......Thanks for your feedback everyone.

Spikie: do you mean Boundary or Bounty? There seems to be a bit of confusion here. Bounty Boulevard opens July 1 (according to Scott - see above); the link to Bandary Road is now in the planning (according to Baulko - see above). Both will be welcome additions to the NL infrastructure, though.

Either really KirkMorrant. Will just be grateful for any possible relief from incessant noise and pollution from Discovery Drive! It wakes us up at 0530am and starts up again at about 1630HRS until 1830Hrs.You can learn to live with it in daytime as it's not constant. It is also affected by the way people drive.

I am so happy to hear that Bounty will be opened up...

Hopefully this means I won't have to walk 15 minutes to the bus stop anymore as well...

It won't happen straight away, but eventually the buses (682/681) will go from Anzac, up Discovery, then up Bounty, down Endeavour and then along Lakeside Drive to North Lakes Drive, then back to Anzac.
When will it? We all have to canvas Hornibrook Bus Lines and TransLink.

We need to get in Stockland's ear about putting the road through to Boundary as they are now half and half about the idea (asking more questions on the weekend at new display village).

I said, so that will mean all the business park traffic will still be using Anzac Ave, adding more traffic to the same end of North Lakes?

Anyway there is a new convience centre opening in the Outlook next year. It will be 4 times bigger than the Night Owl area we have at the momment. Stockland are putting out for tenders in October and we will have a small supermarket like an IGA or similar.

The North/South artieral road from Discovery Drive to Anzac Ave area is also happening and I told them that Memorial Drive from the school needs to connect to it so all the school traffic doesn't need to use the Discovery Drive roundabout so you have a voice get into Stockland's ear about that too!

Thanks for that info Baulko.I'm keen to hear more about the arterial road tween Discovery Drive and Anzac. I'm going to the sales centre by the lake to see exactly where it will be routed.I also intend to speak to someone at Stocklands about Boundary Road-didn't like the sound of their response on that one.Hope they aren't going to shelve it!Will report back if I have any news after speaking to them.

Hey...

To the powers-that-be.

I drove down Endeavour to get home and found the road was still closed near Bridgehaven

Thanks for no warning after saying the road would be open July 1.

I am due to move into Bridgehaven July 12. Hooray! It should be open by then - it is looking very close to completion. It doesn't have any road markings or landscaping though.

It's official - Bounty Boulevard has a Grand Opening - on July 7, 9:30 to 11:00AM. Julie Greer is to declare the road open at 9:30, and Frustrated is going to be the first one to traverse the new stretch of bitumen (hope he doesn't get a flat) at 9:31. There will be a jumping castle for the kids too!
I won't be there unfortunately; gotta go to work.

Bounty Blvd is finally due for opening.  I was very sneaky and went for a walk alone it this afternoon with Mr Northlakes.com.au.  It was enjoyable - however very wet, but finally we have link to that side of the estate.

Yes Darren both Scott and I were exercising on the weekend - we are becoming "super fit" and ready to take on all the newbie's at the next fitness camp!!!

Well, I've driven the new road. It's such a relief compared to Discovery Drive! It's almost like a country drive; in fact I almost ran over a rabbit near The Outlook.

Just watch out for the Kangaroos too! there must be a family of at least 30 on the big hill on the right between the last roundabout and where Endeavour Blvd ends (heading to Westfield). I often take the kids for a look in the afternoon. We drive uo Kerr Road to get a little closer to them.
