We are moving up from Sydney. My kids all dance, and do eisteddfods, and just love it. Can anyone recommend any good dance schools in the area. Also are there any places around Nl and MH that do gymnastics? Gotta keep the kids happy

there are two we're aware of
the first is over in rothwell , about 5 mins away, its a ballet school and they do stuff for kids from 3 upwards.
a new dance school ,which looks a bit more informal , starts at northlakes community center from april 17th, cant remember the number but it should be in the online phone book

Our daughter has danced at the Conroy Dance Centre at Brendale which is only 5 minutes away for the last 6 years. It would be the best dance School around if you are interested in your daughters dancing and Eistedfods, as they excel at both. The Ballet, Tap and Jaz program excel at Exam time with most students getting above 90%. They also have an Acro program there so you don't have to worry about Gym. They are contactable on 32057717. I can not find any information about the dance school at the Community Centre. Can somebody please help? My daughter is looking for a dance school in North Lakes with Jazz lessons on a Saturday or weekdays after 5.30pm . She went to FAME (also at the Community Centre) on Fridays but they are very expensive (around $35 per lesson!). As a working mum I really struggle to find dance lessons after hours!

hi there my kids are starting with JAM performing arts and they are the ones starting in the community centre.  they do all dancing, muscial theatre, acrobatics, exams etc.  my kids are just in tiny tots and their lessons are around $8 each

I work within the community and therefore hope the following information helps you:-

North Lakes Funky Dance is coming to the Community Centre from June 5th and will cover Hip Hop, Funky Jazz, Brazillian Samba, Cabaret etc.  Classes will be held from 3.30 pm - 6.45 pm covering ages from 5 - adults.  First lessons will be free to all and after that prices are from $8.50 a session.  The aim of this dance class is to make it fun and affordable so no costumes will be necessary and payment will be pay as you go. To make bookings and for more information you can contact Emma at northlakesfunkydance@hotmail.com mob 0403245314

The dance school in the Community Centre does lessons on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. For ages 3 and up. The do Jazz, Funk/Hip Hop, Tap, Ballet, Lyrical, Exams, Eisteddfods, Concerts.
