Hello, my name is Katy and I am a North Lakes resident. I have decided to start the North Lakes Craft Club. Since moving here I have not met anyone who has an interest in my hobby which is Cross Stitch so I thought I would place an ad in the North Lakes Messenger to see if there were others, not just cros stitchers but any craft, that would like to meet weekly to work on their craft projects. I am hoping to meet at my house every Wednesday from 10 to 12 for craft, bring any project you are currently working on, have a friendly cuppa and chat, swap charts, ideas etc and meet new people. Hi Katy,

I'm not into craft myself, though used to do cross-stitch when I was at school... My wife and eldest daughter are very keen though, when they have time.

I've just started my optometry practice in new North Lakes Medical centre and I plan to offer magnifiers, especially for the older cross-stitchers with failing sight - as part of my services for the vision impaired.

Hi Kerrie, well you may be in luck, your little one is more than welcome, we now meet in the Pathways Library to the left side as you walk in so your little one will be within eyesight in the littlies area at the rear of the library and I have seen that there is story time at the library on Wednesday mornings when we first get there so that would also keep them occupied!! We meet from 10 to 12 so you are more than welcome to pop in. Katy
