Hi all... First post!

We are hopefully moving to this area in the coming months...Trying to find out what facilities for leisure there is locally. In particular horse riding school/stables etc? Any local to north lakes area?

I am over to Aus on a reccie this sat for a week and will be driving to north lakes.

regards...keep up the posts, its such valuable info when your glued to trhe internet on these wet uk days!!!

There are 2 clubs I have noticed for horse riding. One is near Rothwell turning out of North Lakes Eastwards on Anzac Ave. First Roundabout left and at the bottom end of the road you will find the club. 2nd one is in Burpengary. Follow Bruce Highway towards Sunshine Coast (North) You will have to google for their directions. 350 Rowley Road Burpengary, QLD 4505.
There are 2 shcools in North Lakes one private and one state. Around North Lakes are quite a few private schools that are good. The beach is not too far away and furthermore, there are quite a few sport clubs around within reach depending on what you would like to do. Swim club in Redcliffe. Cricket, rugby, tennis, netball etc in Pine Rivers. Hope this helps. Do contact the local concierge desk perhaps in the North Lakes Westfield Centre when you are here. They should have maps directions etc.
