Can someone please tell me why it's acceptable to start pouring a concrete driveway at 5am.
I was woken this morning at 4.45am to the sound of a concrete truck reversing up the neighbour's driveway then dead on 5.05am they started pouring.
Police claim they can not help. They put me onto the Brisbane City council after hours who said it's Pine Rivers issue.
Moreton Shire Council after hours won't send anyone out unless it is a health issue.
So i gathering driving to work tired is not considered a health issue to council.

With no one able to help it means that builders can start work and making loud noises at any time they want.

Just think, they will only have to do it once.....

We have been woken up for the last 4 weeks by a builder in a street nearby who insists on starting work at 5.20am on the dot every morning including Saturdays - builders seem to have the only sleep around here.... I was even blessed with a crane truck out the front of my house at 5.45am the other morning - least they get to finish work early, not like the rest of us who fall asleep at our desks.

we had builders next door starting before 6am so i wrote a note and stuck it on the door of the house they are building asking them to refrain from starting work before 630 as per council regulations.....the note stayed on the door for about a month and they haven't started before 630 since then!!

Was it Tricolour Concreting? If so I agree. They turn up extremely early, and make a bucketload of noise, talking and swearing at each other, radio blaring and making noise setting up and pouring slabs and driveways. They also feel they arer allowed to park where ever they like, even if it means parking their truck on freshly laid lawns, or blocking driveways so people cant get their cars out. They have done a few in my street and they are always there prior to 5:00am. Big woot it gets hot in the middle of the day so they don't like to work then. Slip, slop slap and drink lots of water.It is just plain rude to wake everyone else up that works "normal" hours
