Hi. My husband and I are considering relocating our family to North Lakes and in doing so would need to look at enrolling our children into one of the local state schools. I have been on each of the schools websites though am unable to access a school annual report for Bounty Blvd SS as it's new. I would appreciate some feedback from people with children enrolled at either school to help us make the right decision for our kids. I understand there are catchment zones and as such would need to make the school decision first in order to search for suitable properties. Thank you in advance for your input!

We moved my daughter from NLSC to Bounty and feel we made the right decision.

Bounty is very new which means it is still having teething problems and organisational issues but North Lakes State College was just to big for my liking.

I don't know which is better though

Bit of a tricky one really... we moved to Australia 6 months ago and decided we wanted our daughter to go to Bounty Boulevard... as like Lazygamer - we thought NLSC was just too big for our liking. We're happy enough with Bounty Boulevard, teething issues and all... but it is no where near as good as the school our daughter came from... but it is nice to have pristine grounds and classrooms and new equipment!!

I have heard of parents wanting to shift their children from BBSC back to NLSC, or to other schools... but then I also know of people who have or want to move their children away from NLSC... and also people who are also really happy at NLSC.

At present, BBSC is still quite small and most of the classes are made up of two or more year levels - as they're restricted to having only so many teachers per students. The best person to speak to about this and how it affects the kids (other than the parents who post here) is the principal.

What it'll boil down to is what you want and expect from a school, and seeing you're coming out before your family, it'd pay to visit the schools before you commit to a rental property, if you're able to.
Don't worry... BE HAPPY :)

Thank you Lazygamer and Ms Jo for your feedback!

We've decided to go with Bounty Blvd SS as we like the idea of a smaller school and it's close to our new home in Woodside.

I understand there is a playgroup offered at Bounty Blvd SS...do either of you know if it's very good? Or is there a better one around North Lakes? I have two little boys aged 1 & 2.

Thanks again for your help!

My wife used to run a once a week playgroup at BB but she isn't anymore...

I am not sure if there is anything else going on at the moment but the local community center has one every Wednesday which is pretty good
