Hi I am wanting to loose 30-40 kilos and I am debating whether to Join Breaking Point or Jetts. On the plus side Jetts is alot cheaper. I was wondering if there is anyone out there that have been to either of these places and can give me a bit more insight.
Thanks

Hi Darls,

My name is Darren and I am the owner of Breaking Point. I'm a big fan of northlakes.com.au so I stumbled accross your question.

I won't hit you with a sales pitch as I will let the North Lakes residents give you their opinions so that you can make up your mind.

I just wanted to let you know that we do offer a no obligation FREE week trial period so you can come along and get a really great understanding of everything we do before making your decision about joining. No pressure, no hassles - completely your choice.
Regarding the price, just remember that we offer up tp 15 sessions per week that you can attend (all included under the same price) and every one of those sessions has trainers there to push you along and make you work your butt off. You never need to worry about what to do because we take care of that and give you everything you need for a complete workout.

Ok, this is actually turning into a sales pitch so I'm outa here!

Hope we see you soon!

Darren

I've been a member of Jetts for over a year now, it's fantastic in the fact that you can go there and work out at whatever time you like, day or night for as long as you want.

That said, that is about where it ends for Jetts, if you aren't motivated and disciplined enough to go on a regular basis and do the proper exercises, you won't see the benefits that you signed up for.

The benefits of doing something like Breaking Point, is that everything is mixed up. It's not the same repetitive exercises. Combined with the support of Darren's team and others in the group, you will find that you reach your goal quicker and it will be a lot more enjoyable and you might just meet some new friends along the way.

I started with Breaking Point Fitness in January and I have enjoyed it, nothing is never the same. I feel the trainers push me when I need it and I can also go at my own pace it I need too!

I have not lost any weight probably because I still eat the same things but I do feel different, so my fat is slowly growing into muscle. My goal is to lose 5 to 10 kgs.

The only thing I am hating about it is the rain but hey that's not Darren's fault, it is up above and me being lazy!

Good Luck

I just thought I'd add my thoughts coming from an unbiased side. I do not attend either Breaking Point or Jetts but I am a personal trainer that works in another large gym.
For long term benefits I would recomend Breaking Point, the variety of the bootcamp style on offer will continually shock your body into new things and this alone will ensure continued results. Going to the gym and doing the same old same old on your own will be ok for a short while but then it will all come to a halt along with any motivation that you had, If you are going to Jetts and having pt sessions on a regular basis then this will definately help push you along but it will also put up the cost of your membership too.

Compare apples for apples, add up the cost of Jetts with a pt by your side every session and then compare that to Breaking point with not only one or two trainers pushing you but also a whole team of members also motivating you and sympathising (!!!) with you.

Fitness should be Fun.

As i said i am not connected to any of these businesses, this is just my own personal opinion.

Good Luck with your goals.
