What is the North Lakes bus station project?
The new North Lakes bus station is part of TransLink's $48 million Station Upgrade Program.
The new bus station will provide:
- a bus interchange with room for six buses
- comfortable waiting environment with sheltered seating, security cameras and lighting
- a drop-off and pick-up area for passengers - known as kiss 'n' ride
- convenient pedestrian links to the town centre including nearby Westfield Shopping Centre
- improved access for cyclists including secure bicycle storage
- complimentary landscaping.
The new North Lakes bus station has been designed to TransLink's high standards for public transport facilities and the North Lakes Master Plan.
